Powertransformers

The powertransformer is of great importance in a tube amplifier. Much to often people take it to light. AE power transformers are calculated for their task. First, with help from an advanced computer programm, all ins and outs of the transformer are calculated. This calculation goes to a winding engine where the transformer is accuratly made according the calculated winding schedule. When the transformer is impregnated, there will be a transformer of very good quality. All according CEE and IEC61558.

We always wind the power transformers large. The reward is in winning in sound quality, a low working temparature and a very low vibrating running.
We have got some standard power transformers. For example for 300B single ended amplifiers, KT88 Push Pull amplifiers and even a set for a 211 single ended tube amplifier.

And for a phono amplifier. But we know that there are often wishes for other tensions, that are suitable for your own design. That will not be a problem. We also make them according customer specification. The possiblities are to much to mention.

Next to here you see two different power transformers for tube amplifiers. The big one is winded on a EI150 core and is used in very good amplifiers for example a KR300BXLS or 211. The small one can be used for a pre-amp amplifier.

A power transformer can, if you want, be made with a hood on top that makes is possible for assembly on the frame. Unfortunatly these nice hoods are not available for every size.
This goes for example for the popular EI120 core on which a lot of power transformers are winded. For the EI120 core we have other hoods which are mentioned later on.

For upright transformers there now are nice hoods for sale. They are provided with a nice powder coating. These same hoods are also available for chokes and output transformers. The hood is provided with 4 bolts/nuts for assembly on the frame.

The c-core types of our output transformers are delivered standard with these nice hoods.
